Creative days
At Divadlo Štúdio tanca, we believe that working with future dancers and movers is key to keeping the (contemporary) dance scene healthy and functional.
Therefore, based on a long-standing collaboration with Slovak conservatories, we organize the Creative Days festival aimed at educating students, teachers and their communities. Our emphasis is on sustainable and vibrant outcomes that will continue to resonate in the everyday pedagogical practice, in the artistic outputs of the participating institutions, and in each and every participant.
Imagine our entire building and neighborhood moving with youthful energy for five days straight. Collectively, up to one hundred dance students and teachers from all over the country live through dance here, experiencing the work of a professional theatre.
In addition to gaining practical experience in the creation
of a dance work, in addition to dancing, they are immersed in the specifics of directing, music, lighting design, costumes, set design, or healthy nutrition…
Most importantly, they will get to know their peers and colleagues from other cities, sharing passion for dance! All this in the company of carefully selected lecturers and artists from all over the world brought together for this event at our theatre.
One week, every other year, in the middle of Slovakia, halfway between Bratislava and Košice.
