We were also inspired by the beautiful and tragic images that remained after this collaboration and the mental images from the notebook of the choreographer Zuzana Ďuricová Hájková.

The production consists of poetic paintings that capture fragments of the life of Alžbeta Gwerkova Göllnerova and her partner, the painter Edmund Gwerk. We bring the essence of this powerful life story onto the stage. This is a story of an educated, courageous, emancipated, and influential woman about whom little is said and written. It is also a story about her timeless democratic attitudes at a time of growing totalitarianism and about her tragic end – which for us is even more tragic considering that it took place in nearby Kremnička, where she was executed due to her origins and participation in the Slovak National Uprising.
